To calculate the number of questions a new user participated in, one needs to do the following.
- Identify all new users
- Calculate the number of questions each user has posted at least one answer
- Calculate the average of the number of such questions for the period of interest.
Interpretation
The higher the value of this metric, the more interesting questions are being discussed in the community and the easier it is to find them. Thus, a low value of this metric (especially in large communities) indicates the difficulty of navigating among the flow of new topics, or the lack of interesting topics to participate in. The higher the value of the metric, the better.
